The 部门 of the 建 环境 is dedicated to being an international leader in preparing professionals in responsibly planning, 设计, 构建, and managing the built environment by emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration.

Provide an interdisciplinary approach to the 设计, 建设, and 管理 of the built environment.

The 部门 of the 建 环境 prepares students for professional careers in a variety of disciplines. The baccalaureate degree programs offered are in architectural engineering 技术, 施工管理, interior architecture 设计, 安全管理. Minors in 施工管理, interior architecture 设计, 安全管理 are also offered. A graduate degree is offered in Occupational Safety Management.

The term built environment refers to the human-made surroundings that provide the setting for human activity, ranging in scale from personal shelter and buildings to neighborhoods and cities, and can often include their supporting infrastructure, such as water supplies or energy networks. 在实践中, the term is typically used to describe the interdisciplinary field which addresses the 设计, 建设, 管理, and use of these man-made surroundings as an interrelated whole as well as their relationship to human activities over time (rather than a particular element in isolation or at a single moment in time).
